Wheelock Baptist Church is a church that desires to love God and love people. We strive fulfill this desire through carrying out the five functions of the New Testament church (Acts 2): evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry and worship.
The church is located at 11825 FM 46 in Wheelock, Texas. We are ideally situated 11 miles south of Franklin, 15 miles east of Hearne and 30 miles north of Bryan/College Station in the heart of the Brazos Valley.  Our 2-acre property is situated among numerous live oak trees that provide great shade for our outdoor activities.
If you choose to come visit us, please see our Schedule of Services page for current activities and times. Don't worry about what to wear, come casual. We all come as we are, to gather together and learn how to better love God and love the people around us.  We invite you to come join our fellowship and worship with us as we celebrate our Creator, Savior and Lord.
A bit of history...WBC was established on October 15, 1908 by Bro. J.M. Bullock and 14 charter members, Bro. Bullock was then called to be the first pastor. The Baptist and Methodist brethren cooperated in a community church from 1925 to 1964, at which time the present sanctuary was constructed by the Baptist. Several years later, in 1972, the educational wing was added on to the sanctuary.
